Aside from who makes the cars, and what they are all about, I will tell you one thing plain and simple coming from a guy who went from an VIII to a Vette...
Linear power curve is BORING. I never got tired of the evo, and I should not have gotten rid of it, there is nothing like the thrill of the turbo, and inexpensive mods that result in rediculous power gains.
The vette is cool and looks good and has 3x as many liters, but if I could have my evo back I would do it in a heart beat.

Definitely don't count the G8 out until you drive it. I was surprised how much Edmunds warmed up to the car.
When I get back, I've more or less decided I want an Evo X, but I'll be test driving the G8 for a comparison.
