Some of the new Evo X parts in the works...
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on some of the parts that are in the works in the JNZ Tuning and JM Fabrications camp.
*3" SS catback
*3" SS test pipe
*3" SS downpipe
*3" aluminum intake
*2.5" aluminum upper and lower intercooler pipes
* complete FMIC kit
* polished SS exhaust manifold heat shield
* color matched valve covers (powdercoat)
...that's just a taste of what's to come. There's plenty more!
A couple teaser pics....

Did you guys see any gains with the 3" downpipe you're developing? Some vendors are claiming gains with a 3" DP and others are saying no gains. Just curious where you guys fall on this.

We'll have dyno numbers for it on Saturday.
Trending Topics
I've read both sides with Martin/Eric (AMS) and Keith (Turbotrix). I have trust in both sets of people and have known them for years to be stand-up guys.
I'll be paying close attention to the results on the downpipe itself as there seems to be some much controversy over it and the "gains/no gains" aspect.
Regardless of the outcome that we see:
1) As we all have seen in the past, some cars (even being same year/make/model) react differently to different parts/tunes---even if the attempt to keep everything EXACTLY the same (as much as humanly possible). It's not like were talking about one car making 100 more whp then another on the same mods here.
2) Despite gain/no gain on otherwise relatively stock cars, there will be a point where a car will gain from the extra flow down the line.
I'm anxious to see what happens on Saturday, and we'll surely post up the results. However, I don't see this as a "Well, that decides the truth" kinda of scenario.
I have also yet to see pictures of either AMS's or Turbotrix's downpipes to compare the two dimensionally to each other. With the limited room in the car in that area (not that it's that tight) I don't see an apples/oranges comparison very likely however.

A couple more updates for everyone. The guys were up till the weeee hours of the morning finalizing the design and fabricating the downpipe, test pipe, and catback. The final outcome....nothing less then beautiful. We're strapping the car to the dyno tomorrow to get some numbers behind the products.
On to a couple pics....
3" polished stainless downpipe with factory style donut gasket flange (don't mind the finger prints

3" stainless test pipe (didn't get to polish it yet)

3" stainless single exit catback (didn't get to polish it yet)

...99% finished intercooler pipes and intake
