I'm seriously considering a purchase of an evo X and was wondering how the HID lights from the X fare. How does the beam pattern compare to that of an s2k or tsx? Any pics of the pattern? Is it worth the extra price? I'm thinking if the HIDs aren't up to par, I may just skip the SSS package and do a retrofit or something later on.

 

It's decent. S2000's HID seem a tad brighter than the Evo's. From outside, the projectors have a blue hue. You really can't beat the SSS package though. I wouldn't want to hack up the wiring harness w/ an aftermarket HID kit.

Besides, anything brighter than 4100k is rice. I don't get people putting 8000k HID kits just for the purple hue. Really anything brighter than 4100k isn't good for visibility, you're better off with regular halogen bulbs.

 

i think SSS is a great kit... better audio, the tall spoiler (MR) and better audio....
