LOL @ $7,995 markup

What makes an East Coast/NJ dealer think it’s OK to charge $8k markup on a base GSR? Do East Coast EVO buyers have “Stupid” written on their forehead?
33,655 + 7,995= $41,650 for a base GSR? +tx+tags++++ LOL

**41 what?
XXBut sir, this is a specialty car and we are the biggest dealer on the East Coast. Most dealers got only one. Some got none, but we got 5, sold 4, and this is the last one.
**I understand, but $8K markup?
XXLike I said sir, this is the last one. If you wait one more day, it will be gone.
**hahhahah
Edit, forgot one thing:
XX sir, let me show you a great feature.
** What feature.
XX It’s called AYC, on the steering wheel.
** What does it do?
XX It has 3 settings; Tarmac, Gravel and Snow. When you put it on Tarmac, it makes the car 2 wheel drive and you can spin the wheels, you know, a lot of people like to spin the wheels and make some smoke.

WOW I didnt know it was still legal to smoke pot NJ. Seems like everyone else is selling just under invoice. Wait them out and then come back with your new EVO X to show them you bought it cheaper somewhere else.

Unfortunately this is what we come to expect from most stealerships on the east coast. Although, i was suprised at a local subaru dealership here - they were selling a brand new STI (first in the western pa area i might add) for 1000 over msrp and it didnt have the bbs/foglight package - so it was kinda reasonable. I had no interest in buying it, i was really just trying to score a test drive, which was unsuccessful at, but when we were talking numbers, they knocked that 1000 off the msrp tag almost right away. stealers over here need to get a clue

I'd print the EvoM ad out and wave it in their face...in fact if I went anywhere to buy an evo X, i'd def bring that ad with me. and if they don't cave in, I'd order from CA in a heartbeat.
