Do the clear bra yourself. If you have a little bit of patience, its not that hard.

I've done 3 cars with there stuff and its been great!

As Migs already asked, what did that include? I did near the entire front of my car plus my side skirts for under $350.

Just to give a rough outline...

I paid $500 for hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, door edges, door handles, rear doors. That was with VentureShield.

As crazy as it sounds, all car manufacturers are scimpping on the paint and calling it weight savings...It appears the only savings is for their pockets, dealership told me they would have to look at it and determine if it was due to my driving. I live in N.J. anyone who has seen the roads in Central Jersey knnows how horrible some of them can be.

I just got by a rock chip today and I heard it loud and clear! It pissed me off, I've got to get a Clear Bra done ASAP! Also, buy Mud Flaps for those who haven't already. They aren't just for look.

Edit: I think I found where my chip hit. Right on the hood drivers side. It dug through every layer of paint and right to the greyish/silver metal. Would a Mitsu Marker fix that...?

How effective are the RA mudflaps? I just ordered them for my WW MR, hopefully it helps along with the side skirts. I really don't want any chips and I can't afford get clear bra :\

They help a hell of a lot more than not having them.

Here is a thought not previously mentioned. Don't clear bra, 3M, scotch tape, or vinyl wrap your car. All these options do cost alot of money. Instead wait and find a painter that will repaint your car with Imron. Short of a small boulder, you will never get a rock chip again.

Does that cover all of the problem areas for the Evo X?

I'm trying to get a ventureshield done as soon as my car comes in.

Thanks

That covers all the problem areas, yes. I've read of a couple of chips on the front of the roof and the a-pillars, but that's any car. Not sure how common it is.

Is the Mitsu Paint Pen worth it for a paint/rock chip on my hood? It sinks all the way down to the metal, a silver color.

Edit: Ordered one anyway. :/
