Engine off...Tach not on zero

I looked at the X's on the lot at the local dealer today. In three of the four cars, the tach needle was sitting between 1000 and 1500 rpm with the car not running.

I assume others have observed this... seemed somewhat cheap.

Well i own a Evo X and mine doesnt do that at all as soon as i take the key out or turn the car off it sits at zero. These cars are far from cheap. I love it and its worth every pennie. I just ran a 13.50 stock on it at 3600 above sea level. Who ever buys this car will be very happy.

really? I'll look at one when I get to work... I'm pretty sure that's not right... Were you looking at them from an angle?

Mine doesn't do that either. I don't think this guy knows what he's talking about. He was probably looking at it at a weird angle or something.

You are incorrect, but thanks for trying.

In three of the four cars the tach was clearly between 1000 and 1500 rpm with the engine off. Clearly, no doubt.

I have a new blackberry, which does not have a camera, or I would've taken a picture. I'll try to go by again sometime with my digital camera, but I'm pretty busy and can't make any promises.

The dealer is Charleston Mitsubishi in SC, phone number 843-571-6000. All four GSR's on the lot have the SSS package. There are two silver, one white, and one red. I'm sure there's someone else from Charleston on this forum. The red car is the only one in which the tach actually showed zero.

I'm actually very surprised that no one else has observed this...
