Wow I read that whole thing and was actually captivated. I like the captions as well. The semi closed deck was the best, never really understood it till now. LOL at the .5 litre more comment. Cant wait to see your products. In all the rush ot make parts for the car it seems not many have taken the time to actually notice the differences between the models. Thanks for the time and effort. It will be a good reference.

Very disappointed. I absolutely loved my STi's tranny/clutch and knew the Evo's wasn't as good, but no idea it was this bad. I test drove 2 different X's just to rule out the car itself. I don't know what to do - I'm stuck. Unbelievable on a darn near $40K car.
Answer: Wait for the MR with SST. I hear they have lightning-quick shifts that break your neck in S-Sport mode...

Great analysis. One thing i have been curious about is if the horizontal muffler is no a function part of the aerodynamics as it is with the 350z.

At this point what we are seeing is the MAF is for fueling and timing, and the MAP is for boost control and boost cut. This is what most turbo cars do with both types of sensors. We are working on an engine management solution right now. When this is all good and working we will explain this in more detail.

nice write up.
I don't think we are a direct relation to the sales of the car, but it would be nice to think that

Well, look at our normal EVO 8 type parts and add some boost tubes, and some integrating of the EBCS and PWI-1 water injection system.

I think your ranting over the Top. go drive a porsche or ferrari . these have very hard gated shifters and they cost 2-3 x what an EVO cost.
Our car is going to the dealer after the 1500 mile break in for sure. I don't think its normal as Notchy is not the term i would use. I would say clunky, or bad syncro is a better term. And like i said i am seeing more people complain about it, so it may be a problem with alot of cars. The old 9 and 8 tranny was way smoother and i thought was better feeling than the STI.

The semi closed and open deck pic is an STI block i photochopped. I am glad it worked to describe the difference!

You are telling me! I wish it would have come out at the same time as the 5spd.

Hey Charles! Hmm interesting point. I bet it does play into it somewhat. If that muffler was gone and in place of it was 2 canisters, i am sure that the bumper would be a catch for air passing by. Good eye!

Great review and excellent write up! I think this ranks to being one of the more detailed and specific review I've read. Make more sense and understandable.

I believe they only come stock if you get the Aero kit, but if you do not they are a dealer accessory also.

Bad tranny? Gimme a break. I had two Sti's, an Evo V, Evo VIII and now a X. It's been two days since I got mine and I think it's not bad at all. Okay, it could have been better if it had a 6 speed tranny. I had a 997 GT3 and that was notchy - most reviews hailed it as one of the best if not the best 911's. I love this car so much that I'm thinking of selling my E60 M5! A bit of lux and performance at a reasonable price.

Thanks guys and gals! Jeff worked hard on that review. The X is simply and awesome beast.

Going back to the GT3 997. I have one as well.. I think the box is by far one if the best in the business. The notchiness is a Porsche trait for sure, but the positive feel is amazing. But making a quick comparison having driven both yesterday back to back. The EVO X is nearly equal tool in terms of carving corners etc. But the EVO x wins out in ability to recover from boo boos. Just ask Jeremy Clarkson about the GT3 and fools!

We have lots planned with the EVO x and people will love what comes up this week!

Yeah Adam. Forgot to say your review was the most elaborate I've seen. Clearly, this makes a positive mark in terms of your brand - Perrin.
