EVO with SSS packages are hard to find?

All I want is an EVO with the SSS package, but it seems every dealer i contact only has them fully loaded with aero, nav, SSS, and trim package making them 39K+ OTD. Not only are they hard to find, but the dealers dont respond to my emails at all or respond with little actual helpful info for me. Ive even contacted a local "preferred vendor" on this board and so far the response time is less than stellar with a ratio of 4 emails to his 1.

Given that this EVO is expensive and unproven and made by a company with a less than stellar reputation in an economy in a recession you would think it wouldnt be so hard for me to find what I want when I have a check in my hand. Looks like shipping from South Coast with their great prices and reputation is going to be my only choice.

Anyone have an idea where I should look or who to contact on the east coast mid atlantic region?

Hmm actually most of the Evo X GSRs I see are most likely only outfited with the SSS package. Haven't seen much of the Nav nor the Aero.

Perhaps they are all sitting on the west coast? I know one dealer near me has 4 EVOs and all of them have at least NAVI, trim, and Aero.

Yeah I haven't seen any either...all the ones that I've seen in the dealerships all have SSS, Aero, and E-brake and Shifter upgrades

Though I can't think of Evo without the spoiler

I thought the base Evo had the lancer GTS spoiler and the SSS had the big one, so all of them have spoilers, no?

Anyway, I think if you wait a couple of months you'll be able to buy the X at below MSRP and have your pick of colors and options. Once the MR comes out the attention will switch to that car and the GSR's will be easier to get. The dealers are trying to milk the early adopters for as much as they can get.

Little Joe's in Chesapeake, VA has a few. A couple of them have the SSS, but I didn't notice any with the Navi.

I'm also having trouble finding one in NY area. I need an WW GSR with SSS only. Very hard to find.
BTW, is keyless entry an option or standard?

I believe it is part of the SSS package.

I searched for a month within a 1-2 state radius of Ohio for just such a car... no luck. When dealerships had a white one, it was either loaded or they wanted over sticker or something on it. I probably literally called about 50 dealerships.

I happened to see a post that South Coast had white ones in stock, so I sent Sam a PM here. They happened to have that exact car and an hour or two later, I had a deposit down on a WW X with just the SSS package. About 3 weeks after that, the car was sitting in my garage. It just came yesterday, so I've been out driving around all day.

Anyway, I'd give them a call. Worth a try. There's also a high volume dealership in Chicago that others have had a good experience with, but I can't remember the name.

just go to a dealer and ask if they can find it for you.. normally they just trade cars between dealers to get what the customer wants.. i encountered this same problem, but my dealer found what i wanted, exact color i wanted too.. if they can't find it within the same state, they'll start looking at dealers in other states.. it might take a while if you want to wait, but it'll be worth it i guess... it only took a week for me, got it feb 14th when there were only a handfew here.. but yea, there's either that or getting it from socal
