Glad I bought the Evo X instead of the STI
Looks like the 08 STI is having some serious issues:

I haven't heard of anything close to this type of quality issue on the Evo so far.

I'd be very bummed if I had to get a new motor on a new car, having the dealer tear apart everything. It just wouldn't be the same. Also, I'd predict that the resale on these will be negatively impacted because of this.

You're right, forgot about that one for a moment, though that's almost more of a promise of future potential than a problem, me thinks.
I'd be pretty upset if I had to get a new motor, too. Part of the great thing about buying a car new (at least to me) is that you know no one else has touched it.
