This is a bad year for car sales and also have to say that dealerships here in So Cal have 10+ evo x's just sitting around. Not only is the economy bad but those in the market for an evo are still searching for IXs

I don't think a single thing you listed here explains even ONE (not even the one you thought u were going to buy) of those evo x's still sitting on the lot; at least not specifically for the evo x and not the ix/viii. In other words, i highly doubt Mitsubishi has an over abundance of evo x's sitting on the lot b/c of the things u listed. More of an insight into the current economy and how b.s. sales tactics (rare car markup etc) are particularly harmful to sales under these conditions.

you guys are a little off with your theory's.

we have about 60 evo's on the lot, and more coming. doesn't mean that they are not selling. we are actually selling alot!!! other dealers may sit on the cars since their prices are too high. i am selling most of my cars out of state to all those customers that dont want to pay over sticker, or hell even sticker. We are below invoice, thats why some dealers are not moving their cars. the car business has not slowed down for us, i haven't felt the bad economy song yet. as a single salesman here, i sold 43 cars last month. this month i am already at 15 cars and its just the 11th of the month.

during this economic recession that we're having, I'm glad that I'm in the Active Army. Not doggin on anyone that's not, I'm just saying I'm glad to be in the Army right now. I get a pay check at the first and 15th of the month regardless, and my pay raises go up constantly.

I'll be getting my EVO X the moment I get back home... can't wait!!!

Test-drives are over-rated. I knew I wanted an X, I knew they weren't going to let me test-drive it, I bought the X no questions asked.
Guess I have no right to complain about little things but if something breaks because of a manufacturing defect you better believe I'm not going pay for it or sit by and let them tell me it's not their problem.

Shopped for the X when it first came out and just stop after the second dealer I went to. Now I'm thinking of getting it after summer's end or just wait for the 09 model to come out with all the fixes and maybe little extra HID available for the base GRS...

The second dealer I went to in Mesquite was saying all this bull about not finding X a anything but high mark up. They had four when I came there and now they still have that same four plus three or four more in stock. The manager was so rude because he couldn't make the deal that when we got up to leave as they were closing, he rudely told us to leave and thanks us for our business with an attitude. Just want to go back there and just rub it all in their faces. Sorry for the rant, that manager just pissed me off!
