Question Accelerating issues

Accelerating issues

i have bought the X 3 weeks ago by now i have about 700 miles on it. it is my first evo and i'm kinda confused as of why some stuff is happening to it.
when accelerating in first, second and third gear after 6k rpm seems to lose boost.
also in first gear sometimes seems to stall after 4k like it jumps or something not to sure how to explain it but it's weird.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Go to your dealership and have them reflash your ECU that Mitsubishi just released for the X.

if you do some digging, it might need a flash that will correct your problems

The boost is going to continue to taper off as you get higher into the rpm's, nothing wrong with it, just the way the stock turbo boosts. Manual boost controllers can help it not lose as many psi on the top end but it will still taper back from peak boost my a couple psi.

For the X, you have to disable the Factory 2-Step. Its a little switch high up on the clutch. I did it to mine and am still having issues.

Dropping the clutch at 7K rpm will get you the same results as doing the same thing in an Evo 8/9....it will break things.

Don't do it.

Boost tapers near redline...so you are losing boost.
