Phone Call from Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi makes everything, they were the worlds second largest bank, 1st at one time! Mitsubishi is the fastest growing import car in the US as well! Mitsubishi's been making cars for ever 90 years and were the first Japanese company to have a production 4WD, not to mention the Mitsubishi ZERO fighter was a major player in WWII. I never said MMC was bigger than Toyota, however MITSUBISHI is a bigger company than both Toyota and Honda.

Mistubishi is a giant conglomorate of companies (over 500 companies). The automotive division was doing poorly in the US, but not the entire conglomorate. Mitsubishi Corp is the largest general trading company in Japan.
You guys took my post the wrong way, I meant Mitsu manufactures more than just cars and motors unlike Toyota, Nissan and so forth! At one time they were the biggest Japanese company and I'm not a fan boy just things I've read here and there. Toyota and others easily out do them in the profit department but Mitsu manufactures many different things that the others don't!

It really doesn't matter if they have heard of it, they still have access to it. Contrary to popular belief tech's and service writers don't spend there time studying the evo x
Right, if this were anything else a Google search would have yielded at least one story about this dramatic breaking news. I got nothing, zip, zilch. The fate of Mitsubishi Motors is not inseparable from the gargantuan Mitsubishi corporation, but this quote is telling:
A few years ago, Mitsubishi group companies poured billions of dollars into Mitsubishi Motors Corp., a suffering car maker that at one point was losing $12 million a day. In addition to cash from Mitsubishi group companies, a private equity fund called Phoenix Capital Co. acquired 40% of the auto maker. While the fund was technically separate from the Mitsubishi family, it had strong ties to the group.

Sounds like the Mitsubishi Corp and it's principles want to keep their car company going and are willing to back it up to the tune of billions.

Very good research my man! It's funny how they labeled me a Fan-Boy because I posted information on Mitsubishi's behalf, yeah I've convinced my father to buy a Endeavor last Saturday and have also convinced 3 of my friends to buy 2 galants and a Eclipse spyder. I like Mitsubishi, they've treated me great and were willing to work with me when others were not i.e. (Toyota, Nissan and Ford)!
My dealership has also done great things for myself as well... not only have they always got me in the payment I wanted but they treated like a valued customer and that my friends keeps me coming back! Let the nay sayers and haters say what they will, Mitsubishi ROCKS in my opinion and if that labels me a fan-boy, than so be it!

Sorry I should have been more specific. The dealership called me regarding my order. They wanted to notify me that the Evolution X MR will not be arriving into San Francisco until July. My first response was "delayed again?" and they replied saying that Mitsubishi was bought by another company. Apparently Mitsubishi was going bankrupt. Now news... could vary... I mean it is a Import Company.
Any ideas if this is true?

Wow...there is so much OT in this thread. Reality is that had Mitsu been bought out and a dealership already knew and told a customer, the news would be out everywhere. As stated, it would be a huge news story and have already leaked well before it got to you. If you cant find it on the major automotive news websites, I would say its not true. Possibility that the dealer got bought out in which case it shouldnt effect you, but you may want to call back and clarify that and how they are saying it affects you.
I think this thread is pretty much done so without me having to lock it, how about we just let it die
