Any dealers in the Northeast with South Coast comparable prices?

As the title says... anyone know of a Mitsu dealer in the Northeast (NY specifically) with prices near what South Coast is advertising? Would be nice to keep my money local and not have to deal with shipping etc... I figure if I can come within 750 of the South Coast price its a wash with paying for shipping/waiting for the car/possible headaches if there is a problem. Basically I am looking to be roughly 400 below invoice with the destination charge before rebates.
Thanks.

Check with Shahul X, he is a car salesman out of Rockville, MD, (About 3-4 hours from you) and he's doing close to invoice, seems to be around $500 or so. Send him a PM.

I'll do invoice on one of the blues I have.... $300 over invoice on the other blue and $500 over invoice on my silver (SSS only)...

The 1st blue is no SSS , has navi and aero kit and interior Pkg.... It has 150 miles on it now .... My boss drove it a couple days... But he did not push it ( he is older) ... " LOL , his comment was " it drives like a normal car".... I'd actually do below invoice on it.... Other 2 are fresh, the other blue is a base gsr, NO packages $300 over invoice

$100 processing, No hidden fees, no add-ons ... You can take the car and have the taxes and tags done when you get back to ny... I know taxes are rough up there

Try to keep price requests and sales to either the classifieds or PMs.

I am really surprised that there isn't really a dealer on the east coast trying to advertise insane prices like them. In Texas, I know that Don Herring and Lewisville Mitsu are both agressive on prices. I think Shahul is the only one that gives a crap.

Can anyone tell me what the sports kit is? I can't seem to find it on mitsu site and a few people here are mentioning it. Also, as an aside - can you get the aero package minus whatever the front lip would cost? Kind of interested in the aero package but would like to put my own CF lip on in the future should one come out, shrug.

I called the guy in Lewisville TX back when they were advertising that they wanted to be the #1 Evo dealer in the USA, and they would beat anyone's price. They flat out told me they would not match the South Coast price because nobody was allowed by Mitsubishi to sell that low. They also gave me some other BS about how the South Coast price included the three $500 discounts fo military, education, and loyalty (total of $1500 discount) which was not true at all.

If you are in TX and you want to buy an Evo it's probably a good place to go, but I wouldn't bother shipping a car in from them.

even im a bit baffled by some of SC's pricing, but I do what I can, NO BS.... I think maybe they have ALOT of evo's and just want them gone...a problem I wish I had , I have 2 left of the 6-7 only that ive revieved.... but I'll have more coming and 4-5 MR's also..... and i never mention the rebates in my price...if you qualify for one then you can take it off the quoted price (the military, loyalty or education only)

but i was never a fan of "site unseen" as far as shipping goes...

as far as the sports kit??? I have no idea what that is from a US spec POV.... may be a JDM thing.... (front chrome grill and bbs wheels ala MR for the GSR there?)

as for the aero kit, we can order them with or w/o them.... its a port installed option (done at port vs dealer vs factory)..... Im sure you can get just the side and rear and spoiler extension if you like (seperatly) and get a cf lip when they become available

FYI...i'll be in florida all week for a Honda conference.... so if im slow with the PM's and emails, i apologize

This is very true. I have talked with a number of East Coast dealers that have been intersted in selling on evoM. When I speak with them about their strategy and what needs to be done to be successful as an Evo retailer and servicer, most disagree and become disinterested. They just do not seem to understand that the car is A) not a ferrari and B) can be sold in quantity with the correct strategy. They also typically fail to realize service plays a large roll. Shahul was one of the first in his region to understand and make the leap and it appears to be working out very well for him. We are attempting to get a good dealer as a vendor in every major region, but if they are unwilling to adapt their sales and service strategies, I let them know it will be pretty much pointless.

On point though is that the volume southern california dealers or even some of the texas ones get is just not available to most areas and therefor, you cannot expect the same prices in every region

Boston area

Dealer a) 4k markup, all cars loaded with junk options - cheapest 36,500 + markup
Dealer b) cars loaded with more junk options , 36,500 cheapest.

No test drives, no discounts = No sale - best of luck offloading them.

It's only a matter of time before the dealers are cutting deals on these and begging people to buy them. In the real world people have a lot of bills they are trying to pay, are struggling to make rising gas and energy payments, are hoping they still have their jobs through this recession, etc . Times are tough, so throwing in payments on top of all that for a 36k+ Mitsubishi that doesnt really shatter any performance records is hard to justify. And like the guy above me said, all these junk options they ALL seem to have is a turn off for me. Not everyone wants a 2k aero kit and $400 "sports" package.
