been thinking about powder coating for my wheels but I'm not yet 100% sure , but its always an idea ..

i decided to paint it black only since hard to match the red paint to the rally red.

I guess you guys don't understand the concept of a quick mock-up... anyways here's a better job (made red line skinnier). One pic's rims look more "matte." The rims were originally powder coated by South Coast, so that's why they are shiny.

I thought that powder coating wheels was a bad idea anyway. I can't remember which forum this was being discussed in, but apparently the baking process weakened the integrity of the wheel.

This is true... the powdercoating procees can cause microscopic cracks during the baking process. However, you can also get low-temp powdercoating done that should not cause this.

Good to know. Definitely not trying to cause a "sky is falling" situation. Just seems like good ol regular paint is the way to go. Plus it's probably cheaper.
