Question Odometer reading on pick-up day

Hey guys – I’m just wondering how many kms/miles were on your Evo on your pick-up day? I just purchased a new GG Evo X GSR, which the dealership assured me was brand new. I’m supposed to pick it up tonight but found out that there are 67 kms (~40 miles) on it already which technically should still be fine since the purchase agreement states the vehicle can be delivered with up to 99 kms (~60 miles) already accumulated. Now, they told me they had to get the car from a dealership two cities over.

Every car I’ve purchased in the past has never surpassed 15 kms on pick-up day, so I’m just wondering if this is something I should be questioning as to whether or not this mileage is from factory tuning/testing or dealership demo’ing.

Thanks in advance!

my last new car had 4 miles on it..

67km means someone at the dealer took your car out and beat the hell out of it...

be wary!!! Look for rubber on the quarter panels, or odd "feathering" of tire wear.....or look and see what kind of info the dealer can log from the ECU...

Some one has already thrashed on your car!

thats no big deal. My dad works at the dealership I bought my GTS from and it had 47 miles on it because they had to get it from another dealership as well. You are even more safe because dealerships aren't supposed to let people test drive the EVOs and some won't even let the salesmen drive them either. They know people aren't going to want an EVO with miles on it already.

I had 20 on mine. The dealership I got mine from let me test drive an X and I'm only 21. When I got in that X it had 97 miles on it. Not cool. He told me they hadnt let anyone else test drive them and that the salesmen themselves weren't really supposed to move them around the lot much.

1.4 miles when I got mine. Anything over 10 I would be wary. When they got the got the car, they prepped it and test drove the crap out of it. Then again it would still be under warranty anyway if something goes wrong.

1 mile on mine. When I bought my 8 new it had 270 and I never had an issue with it. You probably just had a test drive on yours and they don't let people thrash on them usually.

Yeah, I’m a little skeptical about the “higher than normal” reading but to be honest, if I had bought the vehicle directly off the showroom floor or lot I think I’d be more concerned with that particular number. I know they had to call around to at least 4 or 5 dealerships to get this particular Graphite Grey one delivered here, so maybe they could be speaking truthfully (yes I know, "dealership" and “truth” don’t often exist in the same sentence).

In any case, I’ll double check with them but I suppose there’s no real use stressing over it unless the car really was driven in rough. Thanks for the help, guys. Cheers!

I would'nt worry at all. Your car's under warranty no matter if it has 1 or 40 miles.
Enjoy it and welcome.
