I believe it is. I remember watching a Best Motoring with Nutahara and he originally wasn't using AYC in his old rally Evo VII, but drove an VIII with it and fell in love with it, so it would make sense for him to use it. Thats just going off of what I know about him as a driver though.
It has less to do with driver preference and more to do with whether the FIA will allow homologation of a car with an active rear differential (only active center diffs have been allowed to this point as far as i know). if it IS fitted with the full S-AWC system, i'm pretty sure it will be a first.
