U turns are now issues? I believe thats why GOD gave man the ability to create reverse lol.

I've been having trouble doing a U with one swing also. It's embarrassing when i have to reverse once when in the city.

Not on some FWD's... my prelude's turning radius is TIGHT! I can always U-Turn...

Where this comes into play is in RallyCross (and perhaps Solo). When you have a tight corner or pivot turn, the high-power u-turn assist (as shown in the video) only makes the turn wider and adds time to your run. The goal is to drive the shortest possible line to get the best time, but my poor IX RS just doesn't want to cooperate. I've seen where the pro drift cars make major mods to their steering angles. I wonder if there's a reasonable way to improve steering angle without screwing up the handling.

I really liked the turning radius on the WRX (04 model). My brother had one and it was pretty nice in turns.

I don't think its a specific drivetrain issue though. I think it varies from car to car rather than which wheels are being powered. My ex's 98 Civic practically turned in on itself. It ROCKED for U turns and 3-point turns.

the rear wheels of a 4wd car actually push the front end outward during a sharp turn, forcing the car to take a bigger line than expected. the front diff doesn't have anything to do with it. A VW GTI turning radius is insanely tight (I don't know the actual numbers) in comparison to the Evo. you could flip a U-Turn on a 2 lane road without even using the shoulder, where the Evo, I check for 4 lanes before I'd even contemplate it.

There's probably something behind having 300bhp running thru the drivetrain too. CV joint angles probably can't be very great to prevent binding.

I have a serious issue with reverse. Must always go forward, even if it means driving around the block to go back lol.

He, unlike most drivers on the road today, knows that the gas pedal is the one on the right.
