Well when i bought my evo there were chips and little things there then the other day one i was driving to a local supermarket where the entire place was under construction and one of my friends said you will make it so i go over this pot hole at an an angle and didn't hear scraping or anything. So when i got home i looked at the driver side bumper and its scratched badly there is hardly any paint on it. So i was just wondering should i let it be or get it repainted? I have also heard that an aftermarket paint job is not as good as factory since they cant bake it well enough is that true?

 

Go flat/matte black. You'll be a hero around here.

 

I would get it painted. Just find a good shop. If they do a proper job prepping the car to be painted then it will look good. Just dont go to a Mako or anyplace like that. I had a car painted there and it started peeling a year after. Go to the regional forums here and ask for a good paint shop in your area. Good luck!

my rear passenger doors are also chipped up from accelerating on dirt...looks really bad on a black car...
