if you plan to mod, the EVO would probly be cheaper......either way both cars will be amazing!!!!but for me, the only bmw to pick over the evo is an m3.

The 135i sounds nice, like a supra in a lighter, newer BMW. It is a little disapointing that it only has 300hp stock from the twin turbo 3.0 I am sure it will be able to mod somewhat easily, but it won't be as cheap and effective as the evo.

It's almost 3500lbs! Man, from the outside, it doesn't look heavy.

Yep according to German BMW site, 135i - 1560kg, 335i RWD coupe - 1600kg, so 40kg difference (or 90lbs).

335i is lower and wider, although longer. Drag coefficient is 0.29 for 335i, 0.32 (I think, can't remember) for 135i.

If you can afford both, 335i should be superior in performance.

the X no question.
if BMW, then M3 for tuners or weekend warriors. When you start modding other models you will get nothing but trouble. And $ vs whp its not that great either. And we dont get into handling yet...
And don't think the 135 vs X will have a same performance. Where you get that? The performance is not just pulling on high way 3-4-5 gear.

it's a RWD, can you race it on snow? rain? no... RWD is handicapped when it comes to conditon like snow, rain. Evo dominants all road conditions. Can any BMW out run EVO on Tsukuba circuit? no... Interior rocks? IMO the X interior is very nice. You want luxury and performance, you are getting old man....

What im saying is these cars will be equally challenging to mod with there advanced electronic configurations and such. Car vs car stock for stock the BMW warrenty and engineering far surpasses that of Mitsu.

They turned the X into a comfortable, refined, sports coupe. Not the raw rally/race car that makes a Evo an Evo. If I want that refinement Ill pay the little extra for the BMW and know that if somthing goes wrong I can make 1 phone call and have a rental and a toe with out a second ?.
I wouldn't say that's its not a rally car Mitsu's new SAWD is them most advanced AWD system on any car out there and with Mitsu sticking with the 2.0 to meet WRC standards says that they are looking to throw there hat in the ring of the new WRC championship. IMO there wouldnt be an easier choice in this matter the X will hands down whip the BMW on any road course. They have already done a IX vs. EVO X GSR road race comparison and the IX was .4 seconds faster 0-60 but the GSR was a whole 2 sec faster on the road course because the new SAWD let it rip around turn unlike any car they had ever driven(Via car and driver magazine). And I wouldn't go selling the new 4b11 short just because it has an aluminium block most high performance Le mans and WRC cars have the light weight sleeved blocks and the are putting down some serious HP/Boost.
