I like both cars, but If I had to choose between used M3 and X, I would ask myself how long do you plan to own the car, and how long the warranty is for M3 ? . Like others have stated, you don't want to own a BMW without a warranty.
Did you look into 335i . BMW just had 0.9% loans on them. Currently I have Evo8 thats only for track fun, and next year I will probably be looking to replace my daily driver. Ive been looking at coupe 335i, coupe M3, ( GTR/$2K civic) combo , and Evo X/11 . Every time I look at the other cars, I visit evom X section, and I really love the way new X looks like. Its a hard decision to make especially with the huge price difference between the above cars compared to X.
If your M3 come with long warranty that will probably outlast your M3 ownership, I say flip a coin. Both cars are awesome.
oh the GTR/$2K Civic combo, no way Im driving a GTR to Home Depot, thats why Civic is in the mix . lolz

the s2000 is far more fun than evo or the m3.
and im telling you this from owning 2 of each.
the evo is great at beating track records, but that's really where it ends.
great drag car, great time attack car....not so fun everywhere else.
the evo is heavy, you sit high up, youre in a 4 door, its ****ty on gas, its expensive to maintain, its picky and finicky as hell and worst of all, the evo is too computerized to be any real fun for more than a few months. After a year, the evo gets really boring. It builds a god complex when you drive it; like nothing can beat you and nothing can make you crash and it gets old, fast.
The s2000 is lower, more raw, way lighter, way sexier, more reliable, has a real company that honors its warranty, better on gas, and most importantly way way more fun to drive and doesnt get boring.
the m3 is fun too, but not as fun as the s2000's.
the s2000 can be very very fast around a track ALL-MOTOR, but if you desire boost...the stock s2000 internals are forged and can handle over 400whp with a turbo and just a 3mm headgasket.
and 400whp on an s2000 is nuts, because it weighs 600lbs less stock than a stock evo 10 and doesnt have the awd drivetrain loss.
im not saying the s2000 is a better car than an evo. because they are both good.
i am saying this though:
the s2000 is more fun and teaches you how to drive, while the evo makes you more noob everyday. The evo will never feel as sporty as the s2000 and its too easy to reach the evo's limits to be real fun everyday, but as a track car, the evo is much easier to run consistantly and extremely fast times, since it will rocket out of corners and not suffer from traction loss much.
with coilovers/tires and bolt-ons on an s2000, you have a true race car.
You go WOT in an s2000 around corners at 8k and the back end just keeps pushing the nose into the corner, where the evo has to let off the gas mid corners.
both cars are great in their own ways, but unless you need a more practical car, start modding the s2000 and you will be amazed.
PM me if you want to know what mods make the s2000 really shine.
also, the s2000 is nice with the hardtop. i really recommend that. i never take it off.
**please note** im not saying the s2000 beats the evo around the track.
but also note. a 300hp NA s2000 is only 3 seconds slower around tsukuba than a 560hp evo.
so they arent slow either.
and for what its worth, i plan to buy an evo 10 GSR someday, just for kicks

Let's stop with the used versus new car comparison in relation to not wanting to own a car somebody else had before you. This is purely subjective. Take it as factual. some people only buy used cars, some both, and some only prefer to buy used cars. The latter is popular since it allows one to buy a car that would have depreciated into an affordable price range that would not be otherwise considered when it was new.
and theres people buy used clothing too! Buying new for me is going up in ur career, or life... That means I made good money... But if I brought used, It means my career, money doesnt go up. So it stays flat.... that equals to buying used things tooo...
S2000, is a nice vehicle, but its a convertible... I dont want an convertible... Just look at BEST MOtoring...s2000 came last... The new civic Type R is faster.... I want AWD, Nothing RWD>>> If I want rwd.. it would be nissans 350 Z.. its faster/ better handling than S2000. By the way, if ur an honda freck good, but im not!! ONLy MItsubishi and SUBARU`s!! maybe NISSAN, only form Japan!~!11

learn to type and speak english
im not a honda freak...im just stating the facts. The OP has an s2000
No, you don't.
I've never once had an instructor tell me to lift in a corner while driving an Evo. If you're lifting to hit an apex, you entered the turn too hot.

The S2000 and Evo are so night-and-day in terms of driving experience that comparing them in terms of "driving excitement" is like arguing over if you prefer ice cream or pie.
Since I currently own both the driving experience is different but no way would I sell the S2000. The Evo is a big car and may be faster on a track but it still does not have the ultimate fun factor of the S
They compliment each other and until I see something different I will still refer to the Evo as my "winter beater"
