Electric Blue vs Octane Blue

For those of you who had the Electric blue on your VIII and IX's, is there any real difference between the two colors? I'm possibly in the market for the X and always loved the EB color. From the pictures I've seen, I can't really tell a difference.

I had an EB IX and an OB X. Side by side, the colors aren't even close. The EB is more purple, kind of like the old Supersonic Blue on the GSR Integras. The OB is more traditional blue. I think OB looks way better than old BBY on the 03-04 Evos, but EB looks the nicest to me.

My friend disagrees. He thinks EB looks way too purple and stupid. He believes my X looks way better than my IX did.

I guess its hard to tell from the pictures then. I think SSBP on the GSR and Electron Blue on the EM1 Si’s are some of the best color Honda ever made. I personally like the purple tint to it. The EB on the Si and on the Evo’s looks very similar. I guess I’ll take the OB  thanks

Man, I agree. That pic does not do it justice. In person side by side, they look dramatically different.

It looks like its in the middle the E.B. and the 03-04 crayon blue. 05-06 E.b. is still the best. My statement sucks. boooo

I think EB is the best looking blue made for the EVOs. IMO it goes EB-OB-BBY.

Just compare an EB Lancer 08 with an OB Lancer 09. The difference is quite big. Personally I prefer the EB. Its a much more unique color and eye-catching. The OB just looks like a regular blue used by several other manufacturers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that Electric blue came on the VIII's.. It was Blue-by-you on the VIII's... Electric blue came on the IX's.. Which is sweet as hell in my opinion.. I'm not too fond of the Octane Blue, looks too much like the old Blue-by-you...

05 VIII's came in EB, not BBY. Also OB is nothing like BBY. OB is metallic - BBY is not.

edit: i'm too slow!
