BMW 135i or EVO X MR... help
Hello-
I'm new to this site and this is my first post. I am starting to complete my search for my next car and have come down to both of these. I test drove the EVO yesterday (GSR only) and only sat in the 135. The specs are similar... the BMW is lighter, has 300hp and cost about $4K to $5K less. I like the look of the EVO more but love the interior and options of the BMW. I sold an STI last year and I want to get back into a AWD car that handles well. I was a bit put off with the Mitsu dealer who said the MR will be hard to get and will be priced in the mid to high $40's... I will drive one once it arrives in late June to my dealer but not sure if paying an extra $5K or more for an MR will smart... Is the MR that much better than the BMW and worth the extra money?? Advice needed... (already posted in the BMW section...) I KNOW folks hate opinioin threads but this is alot of money for me and want to say I did the research... I will be test driving the 135i as my next step..

Bmw is gonna have that straight line fun, but the tranny of the MR is what makes it majical.. Once you go AWD, nothing else compares... Especially with the new SAWC... Good luck in your decisions..

THere is already several threads dedicated to this topic. They go on forever. Of coars this is an evo forum so you will get biased opinions most of the time. My advice is write down a list of positives and negative for each car, and a list of must haves and go from there. I have a GSR not cause of price or availability, but because I love driving a manual car. I have driven the new M3, which I almost purchased, and a 335i coupe. I reallly liked both cars. I just cant do the 135. IMO I think it is one of the Ugliest cars BMW has ever done, which is a deal breaker for me. I will say I think even in MR trim EVO will never come up to BMW trim inside. Dinan also has the 35i engine pumping out 408hp now and is as fast as the M3 around the track and even is faster on the drag strip all with a warranty, which you definitely need with BMW with the cost of service trips out of warranty
