I liked the Lancer in hatch trim since the prototype pictures months ago. Anything is better than the little pocket they call a trunk.

I don't like hatchbacks, but I think that this one looks good. I think that it's a smart decision by mitsu to release this as well, because it adds diversity to their model line-up and the hatch market is a good source of untapped income for mitsu.

Man i hate hatch backs. I wonder if the evo is going to get it. It might be some peoples style but not mine. I think it is butt ugly.

What's to hate? I like hatches and always have. I think the primitive part of my brain likes knowing I have a place to shelter in the event of some catastrophe that leaves me without a home. Add AWD and some reasonable power and handling and we have a winner! Looking forward to 2010 in the hope they bring it over.

I think the hatred of hatchbacks in the US is leftover from the station wagon era. Hatchbacks are the most popular configuration pretty much everywhere else in the world, and yet they sell like crap over here.

They are starting to make a bit of a comeback, though.

I wouldn't mind it just for the fact that it has room for my work supplies. It's good to see that mitsubishi is finally doing something about the WRX competetion. They are heading for the WRX market at full speed we will just have to wait and see who comes out on top!
