Took my Evo X to the track, Thunderhill Raceway in NorCal with a couple friends, one of whom has a Lamborghini LP640. This was the first time I have been to the track ever and I had a professional driving instructor with me.
I was simply stunned by how this little car performed. We had an awesome time that was punctuated with a little rivalry

Awesome track. Looks very forgiving, lots of runoff.
I think at the hands of a good instructor your X can lap faster than that Lambo, it's obvious you were catching him in the twisties only to give it all back on the long straights.
It's almost impossible (at least it was for me) to appreciate how big of a difference a really good driver in a great handling car makes until you experience it. About 10 year ago I got a ride as a passenger in a Porsche 944 turbo S with an instructor driving at the Summit Point raceway. It was scary, the car was on rails, the first few laps I thought we were going to be in a huge accident, chasing down vipers and corvettes, and lapping everything on the track. After few laps on the ragged edge I realized that barring mechanical failure it was safe, it was 10/10s driving, but it was safe. That gave me a perspective on what really 10/10s driving really is.

nice vid, can't wait to see more of these w/ tuned/modded evos..
beating a stock x on the straight isnt anything worth praising about. i'm guessing that guy was driving a corvette - +400hp?
I believe from the interior that it was actually a ferrari F430. As it said in the video, the X is tough to catch in the turns but in a straight line a car that has 180 more hp and weighs less is just stupid. Handling is a more impressive trait than straight line acceleration IMO. Any idiot can press a gas pedal in a fast car in a straight line, and it's not hard to make a car fast. A car's handling ability requires more advanced technology and design. This is where the EVO excels, imparticular the X.
