Nissan said that there is going to be no markup like ford dealers on Gt500, every car would sell for MSRP
70k Z06 or GTR
I wonder how the used car market would be after 3-4 years for GTRs

very skeptical about the refusal to markup. where'd you hear this from? with no markup, gtr hands down.

Nissan has stated PLAINLY that they have no control over dealer markups on the GT-R (they'll be at least 10-20k). We won't be able to sniff one under 80 grand any time soon...

One reason is that the dealer that gets allocated a GT-R has to send one of it's techs to get certification to service the vehicle, then they have to buy new, GT-R specific equipment, etc. So, to them, I imagine their markup is justified for such a rare car (for now, they will not be building thousands of these things a year).

I was trying to bite the bullet and get the new mr while keeping my 8 mr, im not bashing or putting the mr down, the price is just f-ing high.

okay here is the edited version without the nav two times

2008 Lancer Evolution MRBase MSRP:$MSRP Destination & Packages:$Premium Paint Charge:$Total MSRP w/destination:$Dealer Invoice:$36,089Dealer Invoice Destination & Packages$Premium Paint Charge:$Dealer VIP Incentive:-$VIP Purchase Price w/destination:$Total MSRP Savings:$MSRP*:$38,290Packages & Accessories:$7,333Destination & Handling*:$675Premium Paint Charge:$

wtf is wrong with pointing this out?
i didn't mean to sound like an ***, but i thought you put the navi twice on purpose to prove a point. i hate when people do underhanded things to prove a point. no one would pay 6k for navi

Seriously....you have to pay extra to get floormats? My 05 came with special edition RS floormats free of charge.

I guess they figured thats the least they could do since you bought a stripped down RS. But I think the floor mats their talking about are the rubber kind.

I priced it with what a reasonable person would on this forum...Most will not want the rear or front braces as there will be better aftermarket versions, most will not want the brake guides as all it does is add weight for example.

So MR in Rally Red (my favorite color--> see avitar) w/ mud flaps and complete aero package including the rear spoiler extention (to protect the side paint), wheel locks, upgraded shifter and handbrake handles, wind side deflectors, both sets of floor mats, and navi upgrade =44,429 at MSRP. If you trade in your older EVO -500 for Mitsu customer loyalty....brings it to under 44K before you even start to haggle.

For the record, it said my car (08 GSR) would have been $34K and I paid under 31K with the 1500 back i got in rebates.
edit

how old r u?

Ain't that the truth! Fact of the matter is, the X is just way too overpriced for the market. Although Mitsubishi is trying to attract older more financially endowed buyers with the Evo, majority of these buyers will never pay for $40k-$50k for a Mitsubishi. One would argue that no one would pay for $70+ for a Nissan GTR then? The difference is that with $70k, the GTR gets you performance that rival cars twice as much. Plus, the interior is well appointed befitting it's high price tag. With the X, you're paying more than the previous model but with less the performance. Mitsubishi had the formula right with the 2003-2004 pricing. For $28k MSRP, you're getting the performance of cars priced twice as much.

And don't rag on us early adopters. If it weren't for us, you guys would even be able to buy the X stateside.
