Arroyo Seco in Deming has a great road course, and it looks like they have open track days at least once per month. I didn't find a price on their site but it's got to be relatively cheap, as far as track days go. I drove Arroyo Seco once with the Phoenix BMW club, and it's a tight, fun course.

Where can I get some track time for ~$100 a day?

I'm in central AL
I'd pay $400 to drive at Barbers. That track is phenominal. What group would let you go with them in the first place? When you see the events they have going on, it's either Superbike, Porche Club, or BMW clubs.

I think the road course at Talladega is around $150, you could try that.

I've found that the BMW and Quattro clubs will let outsiders in on track days as long as all the spots aren't already taken by members. BTW, you don't actually have to own a BMW or Quattro to join the clubs so that's an option if you plan on tracking often.

In my area you have to join either of those clubs to do their track days. It's only $25 year but then you're a full member with the same rights as the Audi and BMW owners. They may look down on you a bit "ricer" until you show them what you and the evo can do on track.

It was the BMW club, yes you havw to join...but I didn't want to pay $400 to track it.

Since we are on this discussion, does anyone want to organize an Evo X day at this track? Maybe we can get 10 guys to show up

Ask and ye shall receive: http://www.tgprace.com/TGPR-dates.htm And yes, I'd go for an Evo X track day. My fondest memory of that place is of when an old friend of mine rolled his WRX twice in the grass. 0_0

NASA looks to be a pretty efficient organization. Sounds like the way to go to me for someone that hasn't been on a track yet.

I spoke to the track manager and we can setup a track day for us. here are the details:

Mon-Thursday rental = $1500
Fri-Sun = $2600

This is for a group of 12. 3 cars on at a time, with no agressive passing.

If we get 12 people the price would be 125-216 depending on weekday or weekend.

I'll be the first to say I'll do it, anyone else wanna jump in?

I've been and I will go back, but IMO it needs to be pretty organized. Setting one up is a fair amount of work. To do it right, you need instructors for the beginner and intermediate classes. The instructors can be the advanced group, and should get to be there for less or even free. There is also a paramedic requirement if I recall correctly.

If you really want to do this and need help setting it up, PM me. I can help fill it and line up instructors.
