I wanna track it...but where?
Hey guys,
I really want to get my X on a track and see what it and I can do. I can't for the life of me find a track for a decent price. I am 1 1/2 hrs away from Barber, but the group I talked to wanted $400 for the track time.
Where can I get some track time for ~$100 a day?
I'm in central AL

There's also Carguys Etc.
But my club and favorite is NASA. They teach you well, get you in the car with good track time and give great instruction.
Best of luck

$100 a day ain't gonna happen. $200 -250 would do it.
Here's the schedule for Barber http://www.barbermotorsports.com/events.php
I've done several Audi Club events and would recommend them, probably looking at $350 -400 for a 2 day event.

For the price you want to spend your should start autocrossing and buy an SA2005 rated helmet if you don't have one already. Racing is expensive. Membership at Limerock is over $100K which is why people are more than happy to pay 200-300 dollars for track days.

In Pueblo, Co (Pueblo Motorsports Park) the price is only $60 for 4 hours (fun track too with 2.2miles of high and low speed stuff and elevation changes too). I guess that's a bit too far away though

IIRC a few years back when they first opened their rates for just about any club event HPDEor otherwise were higher than any track I've been to. Granted their facilities are top notch, they actually would charge for damage for off course excursions or other damage to their track during events.
