Tomei Tech 4b11 Tear Down Part 2!!!

Here is the long awaited second half of this, and it's a good read. For all the haters out there, read it and eat it. But seriously, there's some really good info in here about the engine that every 4g63 fanboy has been skeptical about. I actually bought the magazine and took the time to scan all the pages before I realized that the file was too big and that it was on turbo magazines website now (how annoying). Enjoy!

Well, this is the first place I've seen these injectors reported at 540cc and not 650cc. This makes a lot more sense, as all of us mapping these cars are seeing really high IDCs.

Perhaps the J-Spec engine is different in this regard, because some company very early on here in the states actually had the injectors flow bench tested and they were indeed 650, pics of the results and everything. Not only that, but when the guys at vivid installed a walbro fuel pump the IDCs went down substantially, indicating that as the culprit and not the injectors. If the injectors were maxed out then the pump wouldn't have really helped I would tend to think. Who knows, I'd be very curious to find more out on this.
