While i normally agree that waiting for a newer model is a good idea, there's no guarantee that mits will make any further improvements to the X. The way gas prices are... they might even discontinue it after this year (extreme i know). I'm sure on any future models they will make some small tweaks here and there, but i wouldn't count on any major improvements...

Pros - It's the finest handling car I've ever driven, It's fast, it responds very well to mods, it looks great, it's easy to live with everyday...
Cons - Expensive to maintain (gas, tires, brakes, etc.), the transmission may have an issue (notchy grinding), the aftermarket isn't quite there yet (1-2 years), paint chips easily, and.... that's about it!

Wait till January. Prices will drop substantially, the new models will be out, and you will be able to have many GSR/some MR's on the used market for quite a discount with all of the warranty still in place. The dealers near me have not sold a single GSR/or MR. Things are only going to get worse... Forbes.com calls it the beginning of the car crisis following 2 years of house crisis that still is falling... my .02 cents...

whats up with the flaming? is this turning into NASIOC or what??
I think the 8/9/10 evos are all good buys. BUT! from what I've learned.... if you have to dump more then 50% of your weekly pay into a car for gas/payments... its not AT ALL worth the Hurahh.. thats not directed towards the OP thats to everyone.
From what I now know being 22, If I could rewind time, I would have waited until I had a steady living where a car payment wouldn't even be thought off... it would just be withdrawn from my account and thats that.
