I know in Cali that people drive the hour or so to go to South Coast since they have better service there.
thats where i went, bought my car from them also, only took 40 mins, less than the drive up

Well, I also believe that some dealers aren't even aware of it. MMNA didn't even know about it.

And yeah, I drive 30 miles to SCM for service now, well worth it.

I know the Sales Manager well at the car dealership I bought mine from and I can trust the service department to not BS me which can be rare.

Well I finally got my car to 700 miles and I didn't think it was that bad until I ran it to redline from 1st to 4th since I needed to see it for myself. The car lost power for a second when I did my 2nd to 3rd shift, apparently a misfire and I could feel the hesitation as it climbed revs. It's amazing the magazines didn't pick them apart for such a bad tune!

Part of this seems to be the stock boost fluctuating all over the place depending on loading and what gear/RPM you are in. 1st goes by too fast to really measure anything. 2nd also goes fast so it will seemingly hold 19 PSI to redline, then 3rd seems to spike up to 22 PSI then fade to 15 PSI by redline, while 4th can spike to 23 PSI and fade to 15 PSI as well. 5th gear I've seen spike as high as 24 and hold there at low RPM's on the expressway up a hill... was almost scary honestly. Sure it faded eventually but the stock boost "control" and wacky air/fuel tuning on the factory ECU is a huge let down.

I spoke to the service department and mentioned the issues at hand and apparently their ECU scanner/flasher is out of commission so I won't get a flash until the end of the week. I will be getting a good mail in ECU flash once I get my upgrades in, but I just found out my Buschur exhaust is going to be delayed.

Summary: Get a factory flash or performance flash to avoid having a car that is tuned poorly to say the least.

I just reflashed one today at work. Go back and tell them to look up TSB-08-13-011
Ask them if their M.E.D.I.C. is up to date. It should be at least download M226.

All 5 speed EVO X up to 4/10/2008 build date.

Ahh that's what he called it, said his "M.E.D.I.C." system was down, kinda ironic!

I had the same problem with City Mitsubishi, I went in for the flash and i even printed out the TSB and everything. I get back the sheet of paper and it had

TSB-08-13-011 in pen written over TSB 08-13-001,

I get 15 mpg city and like 18 highway runs pig rich.. going back tomorrow morning to complain.
