Lightbulb Meth/water/alcohol injection

So I've been reading some forums and seen some videos of people using different kits to inject their engines. I was wondering if anybody here has done any of these to their EVO X and how it turned out. Who is for it and who is against it and why? Does anybody know who which brand is the best to go with? I'm thinking if i do this i will go with Aquamist because i've seen some good reviews and videos of their stuff. But does anyone know where to get them or what the difference is between they're kits? any info is helpful!

I think the guy's name is Archie. Last time I heard, he had a leak in his pump.

I went to Mitsubishi Owners Day this past Saturday....3000GT with Meth Injection blew up his engine during dyno, because one of hoses for his Meth Injection popped off. He made 447 whp at only 4,000 RPM before sh*t hit the fan. After watching that, I've decided to stay away from Meth Kit. He was the only guy who had to get his car towed out of there.

i run a meth injection kit on my eclipse spyder. last dyno it made 491hp 473 tq. meth is great but has alot of risk as well. if you run low/out in your tank could be a big problem, if a hose pops off get cloged, if the pump quits working etc etc. i have my check engine light set to come on at like 4 counts of knock so if it isn't working i will know immediately. although it does have its benefits, ie i run 91 octane and can fill up pretty much anywhere. race gas is hard to come by some times. it also gives the option of running 2 boost controllers one set up for lower boost where you don't need meth and one set up for higher boost where you would need it. i have my meth to come on at 17 psi. so if i am on the low boost controller it would never come on and if i was on the high one it doesn't come on until i reach 17psi and above. just some of the pros/cons i have noticed with it. i run a cooling mist kit. i would caution anyone using meth to have a good tune and to keep a constant eye on the injection system because if it does stop working you can do serious damage to your engine.

Most of the better meth injection kits have fail safes to prevent from blowing the motor in case any problems arise with the kit, clogs/run out of meth/hose failure/pump failur so that the engine is saved.

Archie is the only person with a Evo X running a meth/water kit at the moment as far as I know and I believe he was running just 100% water and no meth last I saw...

I'm considering it a viable option to offset the 91 octane in the area I'm about to move to so that I don't have to pull any timing to feel safe running on 91.

Everyone talks about failsafes... C16 is the only failsafe.

I've tuned one X on 50/50. He had a devils own kit. picked up about 30whp over non 50/50 X's. Down side is the stock turbo doesn't have the flow to push big numbers.

Mine will have an HFS-5 when the time comes, but I see little point with the stock turbo.

He was running 100% water until he got a tune. Now he is running 100% meth which might of caused his leak.

I will be running a meth kit with that new dominator 2 turbo up grade. If you have a good fail safe system you should be good to go. I will be running an aquamist system HFS-1 which these system have one of the best fail safe systems i hear.

Like an other guys was saying ill too will be running a EBC so ill have 2 diferent settings. Make sure you have the kit tuned with the car before driving it tho.

Yes you can do 2 different maps one for pump gas and one for race gas but how often are you going to have race gas. Race gas is at its all to high right now which is why i went with the meth. Meth is cheap and if set up correctly safe.

Once i got everything in my car installed and TUNED then ill post up my gains and pic. Should only be 2 more weeks now.
