Reverse gear delay on X MRs?

On my X MR, I have a bit of delay before the Reverse gear engages. If on an up incline, the car actually moves backwards if I lift my foot off the brake too soon.
Anyone else?

1st part sounds like this: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=354664

2nd part seems like manual roll-back, which I have experienced on occasion (like on hills), don't know how else to describe it...

The reverse gear delay is typical of a dual-clutch transmission. My R32 with DSG does the same thing. So do all VW and Audi cars with DSG. I don't think you've got anything to worry about

And, for the car "rolling" a little bit when you first let off the brake, that is also normal. Since it is a manual transmission and it will act very similar to a traditional stickshift (e.g., rolling backwards on a hill before the clutches engage)

Happens to me all the time.

Remember that the MR does not have a deditcated Reverse Gear. It has to wait for either 1st and 3rd or some other gear combination to engage in the opposite direction.

That's an over simplification, but just trying to give a perspective.

The Mitsubishi dealership today showed me a TBS saying that all the slight delays with first engagement from P and the R engagement are normal and part of the design.
Something to get used to!
