2009 Evo X mr

Is there any word yet when the 09's will arrive. Are they going to increase the HP. I bet there are some changes because there seems to be some weird silence about the 09 cars. If they increase the HP the 08's are screwed.

I doubt that they'll make any actual changes, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them restate the HP to reflect what they're actually putting out now with the current flash.

Not sure about more power but they may release higher Tq rated tranny because of recent findings but I guess we'll all just have to wait .

Also, Evo's generally follow calendar year production versus sales year - so it's not weird that the '09s aren't out yet. You'll here more about them closer to January.

I just asked about 09s from Don Herring (Jr.) in Dallas and they said at least four months cause they can't order them yet. I'd love to know if there are any changes worth waiting for or if it'll be like 03 to 04 where nothing substantial happened (added SSL and RS models, but no drivetrain changes).

2L is fine as long as it can shed some weight may be a spec-V model

Most magazines with the 2009 Buyers' Guides list the '09 Evo as being a carryover from the '08 models. I guess I'll rule out buying an Evo at least until the '10 model year, haha.
