Defi Racer Gauge Question

I've been looking for a while now and I'm trying to figure out if the Defi Racer Gauges are like the Defi Link Gauges... Like does the boost line run to the gauge sensor and then send info to the gauge electronically like the Defi Link system. Or does the boost line run straight to the gauge.

Thanks for any help.

racer series is straight to the gauge, no thingamabob needed. I looked at them (liked them a lot), but when with an all in one (check out the DashDaq...I love mine!)

just to let you know, if you go with defi, go with the red, the white has a bluish tint, the red defi matches better imo, my 2 cents

hey thanks for the info

reason I was asking is i dont want the wires and boost line showing and i had defi link in my VIII and i liked them and i dont mind the thingamabobs haha it would help keep the look a lil cleaner since no boost line and no real great spot to mount in the X's right now...

And I was really leaning towards white, but u say stick with the amber.. im gonna guess the amber is close to the rest of the lights inside?

Also wat can the dashdaq do? i'll google it and check it out, just never heard of it untill i read the 30+ TTP zchip post and it sounds interesting.

but again thanks for the info, it clears a lot up.....

I have the white racer gauge and basically the boost line connects to a sensor. The information is sent from there to the gauge electronically using a couple of skinny wires.

thats how i was hoping it would be, cuz thats how the defi link gauges are set up.. i dont want a boost line coming out of my vent or where ever. but i can deal with some wires.

thanks for clarifying that

What? Don't listen to this guy; he's wrong. The racer series have a sensor that you mount under hood and then a cable that runs to the gauge. My boost line is like 12" long.

The red matches the info screen nicely:

[edit] I took that picture because that is the highest MPG I have ever achieved in this car .

My Defi Blue Racer doesn't go straight to the gauge but doesn't go through the control box either, it has a small sensor box piece, it goes through that then to the gauge.

We will have Prosport amber gauge packages available in both mechanical and electronic versions of 52mm and 60mm with peak/hold and non peak hold versions.

We plan on combo packages with the ZChip with MBC and Boost gauge.
