So i had the problem of burning CD's from iTunes and it wouldnt add in the CD text AT ALL into the music server. It would load them up but they all had "no name" as their title. Very annoying.

Well, i just downloaded iTunes Version 8.0 . I created a playlist, told it to burn an AUDIO CD and INCLUDE CD TEXT. Went out and loaded it into the nav system and it WORKS! All my songs show up with titles now!

This is the best day ever. Can anyone confirm this works for them?

used nero and never had any problems only some of my old cds didn't have a cd title or artist, but the track names showed up fine

 

good find, and yes Nero also does the job or you can add them manually.

 

Are you sure you just didn't forget to check the "Include CD Text" box in the Preferences before? This feature has been in iTunes for years. I don't have Navi, but I've had iTunes-burned CD text on the SSS's Rockford CD changer since I got the car.

 

CD text in iTune was only added in the later versions of iTunes 7.x.

Ah, I see, it's some kind of MMCS issue. Glad a new version of iTunes resolved the problem... I wonder what it was.

CD Text became available in iTunes in early September 2006, which I think would qualify as "years," if only just barely.
