Paint color code for middle of bumper

Hey guys, I have a regular 2008 Lancer ES and I would like to paint the chrome grille and middle part of the bumper the same exact color as the middle part of the bumper on the Evo. Does anyone know what the paint code for it is?
Thanks.

I'm not sure it really has a paint code, since the replacement OEMs I've seen just come with that part pre-painted and we just tape it. Best bet is to stop by a Auto-Body paint supplier. Wherever sells the paint, the 3M store, dupont, sikkens, etc etc. and ask for their bumper coat color template. Its a piece of paper with various "bumper coat" colors on it. My guess is its a Dark Charcoal, because its not exactly black. Let me know what you find out. Good luck.

This post is hilarious....

There is no paint code - the center of the front bumper is UNPAINTED black plastic.

wrong. unpainted black plastic is shiny. and black primed plastic would turn white after a few months.

Just get black spray-can. Make sure to scuff it first and have at it.

dude, I'm pretty sure it's painted. I thought it was black plastic too...until I went to remove the front emblem to paint...and some how, eventho I was careful, the I found a few small paint chips around the bezel that the emblem goes into. At first i though it was some of the 3M tape...but it turns out to be the black paint that chipped off showing the gray primer color plastic beneath it.

As far as I can tell it is textured unpainted plastic, maybe the marks are areas where it was compressed?

How did you get the emblem off? Is it just taped on? Are there any pins or clips behind it?

It's not unpainted plastic. It has a sparkle to it.

And to the OP, sort of off-topic, but I did the same to my '08 Lancer. Man do I miss it

thank you. some people don't understand that not everyone has $40k to spend on a car, but does have a couple of bucks to spend on some paint to make it look similar.

You miss it as a drive-around commuter, or you like it better than the evo? I wish I could keep 5 or 6 cars-one for every occasion, but the economics of it never work out. I like the faux-evo paint job on your old lancer. This is one of those cars where the base model looks good too.

The answer to the original question is nobody knows the paint code. You can get a paint shop to make something similar with small metal flakes.

Nah, not as a drive-around commuter (I have a GTI for that!), and it's most definitely not better than the Evo (other than at the gas pump).

Missing it...it's a personal thing. Spent a lot of time with that car, and life was just different back then. Memories.

It is not painted.

It is the same molded textured plastic that is on the underside of the side mirrors and the rear under diffuser...
