Slowbalt time ticks me off too. 19 year old SS owners will be trolling Evo, 1 series, and ISF forums for weeks to come.

why does it seem lwhen the evo is tested it is usually the MR against some similar powered manual car?

I mean yea the MR is a crazy improvement trans wise over all your run-of-the-mill automatics and performs a lot better, but nothing compares to the control you have with the shifts in your fingertips IMHO.

.....but thats the evos job...

I'm nothing like my car. My car is obnoxious, loud, fast, good looking and black. I'm shy, quiet, I work at a slow steady pace, I'm ugly and white. Your theory has just been proved wrong j/k

It's obvious mitsubishi has pulled the GSR from the demo fleets that the automotive press draw cars from. I'm sure couldn't afford for people to realize that the GSR would be superior in some tests and they don't want to have that screw up MR sales. I'd like to see more tests mitsu on mitsu.

Z51 FTW anyhow.

well if this list is true /i'm not doubting you noize/, then there is an other surprise here.
The X MR is faster then a IX MR according to this . And there for the Cobalt too.
Hm.

What track is this at? Something that must have long straights is my guess... because looking at those times, vehicles with large top ends seem to fair better than those with lower top ends.

Because I *know* I'm faster than a stock 335i on the track where grip is more important than raw speed on the straights.

maybe i should trade my GTS for an SS and have the X for the weekend...the cobalt is impressive tho

only thing that the evo really has over the cobalt is potential.. the SS is near its potential already you cant push it THAT much more than it is right now..

but with the evo..its just the beginning of what a monster you can make out of it

With the way these Evo X's are setup from the factory with their ECU mapping, its no wonder why the SS is giving it a hard time.
