Plus it looks like they moved the back seat forward to gain more space wich cramps rear passengers. The only way you could really put anything of any size in there was to fold the rear seats down.

So I hope you're not planning on going skiing and hiking w/friends....cause they'll be walking while they're seats are being used as a luggage area. Mabey the 08's are more spacious, I don't know, I've only seen a couple in my area, which is sad cause I live right down the street from CBRD.

Actually the new subies have more room for the back seats...you can actually have legs where your feet touch the floor...much better in that respect than before. If the new WRX 4 door had fender flares, the Ralliart would be in serious trouble...might be anyway even with the corrola looks.

Yes, an actual "description" coined by someone's marketing department to give the illusion of a wagon being hip. I don't see what the big deal is either. I loved my Mazdaspeed 3 wagon. I could carry tons of stuff in it.

Those are likely a result of how they tested the mpg. Probably based on the mpg they got for the full test period, which includes some pretty hard driving. My '03 Evo did 6-7 mpg on track. Definitely not a boxer feature, since I get about 10 mpg on track in the Porsche, just a result of the testing. If the avg. normal daily driving consumption of the STi is 16mpg that is awful, too awful to make sense.

For the love of God it isn't a hatch or a station wagon, the new official term ALL the car makers came up with was "5-door."

The new STI is a "STATION WAGON", deal with it.
Because I've been here longer than you. It's not a station wagon, it's a hatchback.

This is a station wagon, notice how there is a significant amount of overhang after the rear wheels

This is the STI, notice how there is very little overhang after the rear wheels

Don't forget that the stock tune on the STIs is horrible, some people are getting ridiculously bad fuel economy because of it.

I've heard that some of the local Evo X guys have had to get reflashes from the dealer to fix it.

nope, reflash still puts the AF:R down in the single digits

same as the STI, ultra conservative from the factory.
