yeah the roof dosent look that bad from what i've seen..the hood is repairable..but you might spend the amount of the hood fixing it..i know accolade offers both pretty much oem evo x wings and hoods for 450 that may be something you want to look into..

but i say talk it down as low as you can and take the offer..since theres no engine damage or anything

Paintless Dent Removal services can work wonders on hail damage. The problems are that A) it's fairly cheap to do, and B) it doesn't work well on aluminum. Thus, if it were repairable the dealer would have had it done. Most of the panels that are beat are not fixable. Sorry, but I don't see how it's a good idea to spend ~$25K on a car that will always be a mess when you could buy a slightly used one in perfect condition for a couple grand more.

stay away. also have you priced seats? you will get it fixed but spend the rest of the time of ownership obssessing over whether is was fixed right or if you can see anything. 27k + body repair + seats = price of new X if not more. if they were unloading it for 20k then i would consider it. 27k with all repairs is where you should stand. consider it 6k-ish for your hard time.

up to 26 mpg? Riiiiight.
That hood looks bad-buy a new one rather then fix-oh, and PDR can work wonders on alum, but they charge a little more (its finickie). Have an ins agent or PDR guy go to the seller and est. it for you, then knock half that off the price (they already discounted it-so I wouldnt ask for the whole thing off....). My$0.02

I have a blue one as well with hail damage on the hood, roof, doors, trunk. And with paintless dent repair it was about $1,300 to fix so i am sure you will be around the same.

So 27,000 + 1,300 + (2 new seats) 1,500 = $29,800. Not to bad for a loaded GSR.

I would try and get a hail damage repair company see if they will come to teh dealer and give you a free estimate, so you know what it will cost you. I have seen some hail damage and a similar damage civic was like 5000 to fix.

5000 seems unreasonable for damage like that... for that type of money you can get a full on color change down to the frame /engine bay / etc

but of course thats what you should tell the dealer

Wow that thing got owned! Have you thought about other seats besides OEM? I would quote the stealership the OEM seat prices and see if you can find some aftermarket ones for less. I know you can get some nice Sparcos for around 700 to 1k.
