The rough idle may be due to something else, maybe the fuel pump is bad or one of the fuel injectors is clogged or the intake is clogged, or one of the lines is cut or has come undone, etc. If a flash did not work they should've checked something else. Sounds like the dealership mechanics aren't doing a thorough job.
Bingo.

Have another dealer double check your alignment and if its ok, Call Yokohama, since you have the advan line they have special tech support for you. 1-800-423-4544. they will work with you! nice sincere guys name is Scott. ext 3881.

properly maintained last as long as 10-15k miles . 31K miles is babying the car.
The future buyer for your car, would be a lucky one. No abuse at all

np, just make sure you have your facts in order before you start pointing fingers. keep it professional and they will respect you ..and treat you like a person. it all works out for me. like someone said on this thread, it's not covered under bumper to bumper warranty, no car manufacture does. It's always the tire manufacture's responsibility.

My Advans where like yours after 10K miles, gone! This is standard on the stock Advans, everyone knows about it, the UTQG is 180 so they won't last long. Now for the guy saying that his lasted 31K, WTF! Not even all-season tires would last that long on an Evo!

The dealer hasn't even seen it and already told me that I have to buy new tires. "tires are wear items" they said... 11K miles and near tire failure??? BULL****.

Have any advice?
I've said it before to the new-to-Mitsubishi X owners and I'll say it again:

Welcome to Mitsubishi. Have a nice day.

And as an asside, dunno what tires are on the X, but my VIII's Advans lasted 8k miles with two autocross events and normal spirited driving, they were all corded evenly.

It sounds like an alignment issue, but what it REALLY sounds like is that Mitsu actually did something right for once: your alignment is setup with some negative camber in the front, so that when driven hard the full tire contacts the ground. After I did suspension and aligned my car for the track my inside on the street tires would wear out like crazy.

And At AWDNinja's, "sti?"

ok... you're a ***** , but you are from jersey, so what more could we expect?

to everyone else... the alignment was checked, and they say its fine.... but wouldnt give me a printout.... it may be fine now, but it definitely wasnt before. I'm working with Yokohama and will be calling mitsu monday, seeing as how this dealership has been caught doing similar things in the past.
