A few pics from the Track Daze event I attended this weekend at Summit Point

Sorry a few pics are black and white. I didn't realize I hit the button. Overall, I have to say that the Evo X is an absolute monster at the track. It's so easy to rotate and the brakes are nothing short of phenomenal. It's amazing how quickly a 3500 pound sedan can be shuffled around a tight, technical track like Shenandoah.

If the guys who own either the IX or X in these pics are on this forum, it was awesome meeting you both!

Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Nice pics, looks like a lot of fun. How did the X fare against the Porsche, RX7, and that Mustang?

Honestly, I'm not sure because I wasn't on the track for their session. My guess is that the Mustang and Porsche were faster for obvious reasons (They're race cars) and the X was using the sessions to dial in his Stance coilovers while running on shot Autocross rubber.

Hey man! I didn't get any photos of your car, sorry. You were the one Evo guy I didn't get to talk to all weekend. Your car looked great. Maybe I'll see you at another event soon.

By the way, it looked like you blew off a lower intercooler pipe. Was that correct? I was going to come over and say hello but it didn't look like a good time.

yeah LICP. Tired to run one that didn't have the factory supports on it and I only got about 5 laps in until it blew the coupler off. had it fixed quick back at the pits but I felt bad I ruined everyones session.

The only other EVO guy I talked to was Pete with the GG MR. You should have come up and said hi, I always have time for chit-chat at the track.

This is actually my third event, second with the Evo. My first time solo which was awesome.

Have you heard anything about E-Town's new 1.35 mile course? It's not big but might be a nice place for a quick, cheap one day event that isn't a ridiculous drive.

I might check out one of their one-day events this fall.
