Question about snow mode...

At the risk of being made fun of, I don't really care, lol, I have a strange question, that would have to do with power distribution.

My dealer said this, have no idea how the AWD actually does this, but he said that in snow mode the car is 80 percent FWD (dealer doesn't know much, so not sure if this is true). That being said, would the Evo be better from a roll in Snow mode, meaning that it only sends 20 percent through to the back wheels and therefore has less drivetrain loss. Not sure if this has been discussed before or if it works that way at all, but I am curious.

The car only sens power to the rear when slippage occurs, the mode only changes the exact timing of it i believe. There is no setting that makes that power being sent static..

yeah like rguy said. the different modes don't alter the power distribution for front to back but rather they differ in the timing and duration of the acd clamping, which does affect power distribution but not in the way the dealer was explaining it.

dealer was talking out his a$$ as usual.

i am no expert though.

I figured the dealer sucked at life, lol. So regardless of mode it won't really change how much drivetrain loss there is? (Guess that is the real question, since less drivetrain loss will equal more power)

Purely timing for the different modes during slippage for the front or rear wheels.

The salesman that I was working with told me that in the tarmac mode the car runs 90% power to the rear wheels and 10% to the front wheels.
