OP, you may want to log onto the detailing forum and see if any of the regulars work in your area. Actually, I think the forum sponsor does, and there may be others. There are enormous differences between detailers.
As mentioned there are various grades of clay that vary in potency. That said, I'd polish the overspray off, as a first step. Fresh paint is very soft. Contrary to what was asserted earlier in the thread, polishing doesn't cause swirl marks (and/or holograms). Bad polishing does. Properly polished paint carries the exact opposite effect.

i have mentioned befor that i detail a little on the side.i would not be happy about the situation that you are in.fact is sometines a clay bar will take o/s off the paint w/ no problem.especially if the car had a good coat of wax on it already.problem is there is trim, rubber, glass, and various plastic trim pieces that the o/s will not be as easy to get off.dealerships in general do as little as they can to get by and get you out the door.they will probably not get your car back to "original" condition and i would suggest getting a proffesional deatiler not associated with the dealership to take care of the problem (at a cost to the dealership not you of course) .remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease so dont settle for less than perfect!

The stuff people are posting in this thread is ridiculous! There is nothing at all wrong with this car; the overspray can be very easily and quickly removed. Especially when fresh, its practically like wiping bugs off given its done correctly. Nearly every new car has some sort of paint blemish; they don't roll off the delivery truck directly into the showroom.

Well i received the car back today. They told me that they had to wet-sand certain areas with 3000 grit sandpaper, and the rest of the car they polished. As of right now, the car looks good and i don't see any imperfections or overspray.

Of course that doesn't mean they can't screw it up
IMO it's a little whiny to call for a boycott of a dealership just because your car got some overspray on it. If you boycotted every dealer that's sold a car that had recieved any kind of damage(and I don't classify a little overspray as "damage") while on the lot, you wouldn't have anywhere to go.
