Hey, guys I'm making the switch, V8 to FI, Australian to Japanese, RWD To AWD, Two door to four door. Been working with the dealer wrapping up the final details, looks like early next week i'll have it, I just need to demod my GTO which will take a while. I'm Getting a graphite Grey 08 GSR, and i'm excited, it's tough tho cause I do love my current car, but it's time for something new, and my Goat is getting up there in miles.

good to see youve seen the light.those ls motors are so easy to get power out of.the x is a new motor so be patient as the real power mods are just starting.hope you dont mind some turbo lag v8 cars even ones with turbos dont have it so it takes a little getting used to.enjoy the evo and the extra traction, and the extra 2 doors, and the better build quality, and oh you get idea!

I don't know about welcome to the light like evoguy said. But nice to see a american muscle guy try something else out. Nothing will beat american muscle in a drag but if you want handling you came to the right department. Enjoy your stay and have a blast.

what mods. did you have done to your GTO?
I put pedders springs in cause the stock ones were junk causing inner tire wear, k&N intake, long tubes headers, no-cat midpipes, a flowmaster cat-back, wheels, double din touch screen cd/nav, speakers and subs and such and a tune, doesn't really seem like that much but that crap isn't cheap.what mods. did you have done to your GTO?

i've never owned FI car before, driven them, and loved it every time, I never bothered to drag my gto, and don't really do the fast straight line thing, handling is what I wanted, and this is up there with the best.good to see youve seen the light.those ls motors are so easy to get power out of.the x is a new motor so be patient as the real power mods are just starting.hope you dont mind some turbo lag v8 cars even ones with turbos dont have it so it takes a little getting used to.enjoy the evo and the extra traction, and the extra 2 doors, and the better build quality, and oh you get idea!

Its not about American muscle with me, I have a thing with cult cars, the enthusiasts are the best, and not a lot of posers, the torque of the V8 is great, but i'm not simply a V8er, i'm open to any performance car and can respect all makes and models, as long as it's not "show no go" type poser crap, however i will defend the GTO till the death. But nice to see a american muscle guy try something else out. well, let me tell you. My best friend has a goat and I have a x, and we do rolls from like 80 mph and up and he demolishes me. But from a dead stop or slower rolls I get him every time. Also I have a faster quarter mile time and handle MUCH better, just try and get navi to keep you busy in the cabin of the x also so you will feel better about trading a fast car for a quick car.
here's a few of us on the way to the track

check out shane at DB in rogers for a local toon (as soon as openport comes out, you and I can swing out there to get mine tuned, and maybe yours too
).
Ron at RS in Burnsville is another local guy-but I know shane has had some good input into the MN evo scene as of late. Post up more so I can shoot you my cell-I'm in Stillwater a couple times a week!
