Smile Considering EVO X

Hey guys I been reading alot on theses forums about the EVO X.I Am previous EVo IX owner. I noticed that alot of people have been having problems with there EVO like oil leaks, Throwing codes, warranties issues and tunning because the car is so new. I have driven an EVO X and i loved it, but i would like to know is that since some of the EVO X have theses current or recetly Issuses is the EVO X really worth getting ?

I don't think the oil leaks and things like that are very common but its like any other new car man. Just because its new doesn't guarantee that it will not have any problems although people think it shouldn't. I heard tuning is expensive for now since its still relatively new but after some time, it will be same thing as older evos.

Pretty typical for Evos... people buy them and can't afford payments or don't know what they are buying. It is still a rather specialized car that most normal people don't appreciate.

Throw in the current economy conditions and a lot of people will be dumping stuff to make ends meet. It is a good time to buy if you have the money.

Just remember, nobody starts a thread saying, "Hey my X is running great and I have no problems!" You only hear about the bad stuff. Tread lightly in the first few months and let the warranty take care of you if you do have any issues. Then mod the hell out of it.

Yeah...and you wrote "a lot" of people having problems.. which is why I asked how many. How many people have had these problems vs. how many Evo's have been sold? You could go to a fuggin Civic forum and find several posts about problems. That's why a lot of people go to forums. Something goes wong with their car, they get the red mist going, they find a internet forum about the car, and then whine and ***** about it, usually blowing it out of proportion. They want people feeling sorry for 'em, and at that point the vehicle manufacturer is the devil, so they use their 5th-grade maturity level to unload on the internet about how they've been wronged. It's human nature.
A better place to get break-down statistics, and a car's reliability rating would be Consumer Reports(JD Power also collects data, but not sure how much of it is given to the public). They collect REAL VERIFIED data.

Fastkevin why does its sound like i hurt your feelings or something. i Jsut asked a few question on here and getting some feedback that very appreciated but for some reason i believe i pissed you off. If i did my bad dont take it to heart.
Im just hear to see what other info good or bad to help me consider of getting a evo 10.
