hello,
I'll be getting my 2009 GG SST GSR* tomorrow. My friend told me breaking in the car without switching on the AC is better performance wise, is it true?
*yes it is SST GSR not MR, gulf countries in middle east get GSR with all MR features except no nav system.

I no you lose a lil hp when you have the A/C on but as far as breaking a car in and not turning on the a/c, mmm thats a first for me.

Actually turning the A/C on might make for a better break in. Since it puts more load on the engine and helps the piston rings seat faster. Just an guess. But I don't think it makes a noticeable difference.
^ +1... i broke my baby in VERY hard... drove it like i would have driven it at a track ***** out.... now... i didnt think of turning the AC on... but actually.. if you want to break it in hard.. you might want the AC on... in which case there is more load on your engine to get the same speed etc.. maybe we will get 2 ppl who wanna try it out both ways
But ofcourse if you are trying to break it in using dealer guidelines... as long as your RPM's are below what was deemed "safe" you should be fine as well

Whats not good? if you plan on granny footing your evo...yea then do the factory break in... not to mention different dealerships have told me different ways to break in the car...

Also.. you want to expose your engine to all the rpm band evenly as different frequencies of vibrations will jitter out the machined particles from the inside of your engine.
Please don't post stupid unjustified one liners.... no one knows who you are or what you come from... so we have no idea what the F your background is... kinda hard to just take your words as gospel... so the next time you wanna disagree with someone else... provide a reasoning or a method of research... don't just say... not good lol... we can do that all day long...

ha ha... well i mean the first few oil changes are more important than anything else... piston rings seal w/in 200 miles of driving...
Just look at the color difference in oil changes at 500 miles / 1000 miles / 3K miles...
Oh any luck selling those KW's? Im getting some $$ pretty soon... might be hitting you up
