Pumpkins!

WTF, I am tired and royally pissed. I was coming home at night and either the wind brought it...or off a truck..a pumpkin came flying in front of my car. It is a three lane road and the thing flew into the middle lane. I smacked it and even dragged it a little bit before I stopped as there was no way to see it until it was to late. It cracked my front kit and bent the black grate that is in front of the intercooler....I don't know what to do Fn Halloween. I wish the pumpkin had insurance. what the heck

thats what the comp portion of ins is for. Retarded kids that have nothing better to do. I wish I could hit minors. Or have their parents do it, if they arent plowed and passed out on the floor of the local sh*t box bar with their skank wives giving the bartender an hj for a free shot.
Sorry to hear about the X man....maybe the front lip can qualify as a testing unit from the maker and they send you a free one-something like "Our front lip can take a 15lb pumpkin at 65mph and LOOK!-still attached and functional!". Maybe.....

Yea, while the entire thing sounds almost comical, I now in the morning checked the damage and it must have been pretty brutal. The underneath black defuser is all bent to hell too and is hanging. I need to lift the car now. I have to get under and see if what happened there. I wonder if I can take that black grate in front of the intercooler off and just leave it off? you guys know how?

The wire grate? It's just there to protect the FMIC from bigger road debris (like large rocks, and in your case, pumpkins). I would probably try to pick up another one if you could, or bend this one back together!

Sorry to hear about it, that sucks the big one.

You know, you are absolutely right. Looking at it now and after bending it out I realized that if that piece was not there my intercooler would have doubled as a pumpkin cheese grater and would have been ruined. Though my front lip is cracked in the front and is visible...I will try and somehow deal with this through winter because I expect more bad juju to happen during winter and maybe for summer get a new lip kit somehow. ...

I need to get behind that wire gate though to clean out the pumpkin chunks from my intercooler.....this is like a bad joke lol. I am confident that a bunch of kids rolled it out in front my car now.

Damn that sucks. there are kids that do that kind of stuff in my neighborhood and its a really good one too, i guess they think that since there parents have money they can do what ever they want to.

i had a kid about 14-15 through a pumpkin at my jeep that i had last halloween but i had it lifted soo much that it just hit the after market steel bumper and went under the vehicle. but i backed up and chased that kid and his friends though some other peoples back yards with the jeep lol

That's harsh man. People suck. It's a good thing you have the lip kit, cus who knows what the damage might of been if it hit the bumper first? Thats even more money to replace. Hopefully whoever did it gets whats coming to them.

If you have full coverage on your car your insurance should cover it.

Sorry to hear about that. Similar thing happened to me about 2 months ago when a dog ran out in front of me. Nothing I could do since I didn't see him. I had to have the entire bumper on my car (R32) replaced.

Your insurance will cover it and it won't make your premium rise. You'll just have to pay your deductible. Good luck.

Yikes, that's awful, especially if someone was trying to hit YOU in particular with the pumpkin. WTH.

Hope you catch some better luck.
