How can you tell if Clutch is New or Used???

Hi All

I just received my new ACT clutch kit and it look like all greasy and used
Also the paint is chipping on street disc and it was open
Also there was some mud in the packing too


is this how it should look like

It looks new to me, you would be really be able to tell if it was used.
Did you get it from a vendor or member on here?

that looks new to me also. the shrink wrap just didnt shrink.

looks like open box but new. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with it asides from a few cosmetic blemishes. I've installed clutches that look worse then that.

That sucks if its returned and have some default. Who did you ordered it from? I was thinking about buying an ACT clutch too but i heard it has some locking out issues on higher RPMs.

Looks new....think of the shops that have an open box sitting at there storefront that customers want to see and touch-theres nothing wrong with it-just a "demo" to get sales up....no worries

Well i ordered it from Rally sport direct and they said they were certified ACT vendors

Yes, it is supposed to look like that- it's new! the oily coating is moisture excluder/ rust preventative just in case it sits in a box on a shelf for a couple of years.
