173 kw is about 233 hp and 320 nm is about 236 ftlb that sounds about right..

 

Yup .. sounds about right for a derated evo in the AUSDM ..

But then its derated to protect the domestic market

 

Why are you calling 233 HP and 236 lb/ft of torque at the wheels derated?

Its derated .. that is comparing it to JDM Evos .. for USDM Evos, you have to deal with CARB restrictions etc .. AUSDM .. no reason for a lower spec engine .. that's why I call it derated .. btw I think this is a 3rd gear run .. so figures are higher than compared to a 4th gear run .. which is what we usually do for evos ..

This is something I never understood too .. ON PAPER .. AUSDM has lower torque and much higher hp .. but realworld dyno and road it is always lower and slower than the JDM imports ..

If you ever drove a AUSDM evo you'd understand what I mean its a non comparo
