Who has hit the 400 AWHP mark in their X yet?

at the crank: A tune + intake + exhaust will do

whp, you would need a new turbo

 

yeah you dont need a new turbo to get to just 400 AWHP

 

Full bolt ons, aggressive tune, and maybe a little bit of luck might get you into the 400whp area.

And by full bolt ons i mean eveyrything including a new manifold.

From what I have read and been told (By a couple of respected Tunner/Vendors) the stock Turbo really runs out of steam at about 350-370whp dyno dependent. To get a good solid 400whp you will need an upgraded turbo, and a moderate tune to get 400whp. This is my goal as well then I'm done. As soon as I can hit the 400whp mark Ill be happy. Im talking about pump gas also and no meth.

Amen on the AMS turbo!! Btw any official release date on it? I read I think on the evo x turbo forum that its around xmas... but no offical date yet?

 

I'm sure 400whp on the stocker is possible. Frank already ran 115mph near full weight so that means he is making right around 380-390 or so based on my experience. That is without a real tune or cams. I have made 428whp and I know the car is capable of at least 50whp more when my motor is done and I get the HYDRA EMS. That is with the bolt on stock appearing Artisan turbo.

 

I recently just hit 471whp with my evo x. I don't know the engine internal blocks will stand this kind abused. Have anyone upgrade or rebuild there engine internal blocks yet? If you have, let me know.
